Ever-Changing Reflection

Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding... It is the bitter potion by which the physician within you heals your sick self. Therefore trust the physician, and drink his remedy in silence and tranquility.

Wishful Wednesday: Diet

I wish .... I had the willpower to
stay on one particular diet,
and it would be the all-natural diet!

I have never "gone on a diet" in the Atkins or South Beach sense. In fact, the only "diet" I've ever gone on was after my freshman year of college when I decided I needed to lose the weight I gained, and I ate nothing but salad for lunch all summer. I lost the 20 pounds I gained!

At this point, I'm about 10 pounds heavier than I would like to be, and I'm trying to figure out what to eat to make those pounds go away! I'm also attempting to eat "real food" after seeing Food, Inc. a couple weeks ago.

So, I'm trying to stick to a more organic diet and cut out junk foods. Ha! Right as I decide this, all I am craving is fried food -- although fried veggies are in there too!

I've heard people just feel and look better once they cut out all the artificial crap in their food. I'm looking forward to seeing what that feels like.

How about you? Any crazy (or not-so-crazy) diets? Make sure to visit Kelsey's blog (click on the button above) and link up if you're talking about it on your blog!

I think dieting never works- the only way to reach your goal weight is to exercise, eat healthy, and just control your portions! cutting all the artificial junk out of your diet is definitely the best way to start. think veggies, fruit, grain, yogurt... fresh foods! way more tasty too :) you have the right attitude, and that's a big help!

I would love to go the all natural diet too but I am afraid my body runs on fried food, haha! That is so awesome that you lost 20lbs- that is hard to do!

I have a friend who's big into organics- she almost convinces me to try it. :) I'm all about trying to avoid putting crap into my body- but my weakness is salty- I LOVE chips.

Organics are the best...I would do that!

I've attempted to do this before. It really does make you feel better, but after a while when you see someone eatting some tasty looking fries, it's all over for me.

I completely agree with Vivian. Healthy food and moderate portions are the way to go! It's a complete lifestyle change. Plus once you get all the bad food our of your system, you won't crave it half as much! If you need help with healthy but very tasty recipes I have a few I could give you!

I am really trying to cut back on the artificial crap" too! My doctor told me to shop on the outside of the grocery store! She said everything in the middle isles is nothing but junk!

I don't really diet, but I don't like eating processed food very much. I mostly shop at the local food co-op here, buy local foods and cook a lot at home. That way I'm very aware of what goes into my meals and it's easier to make healthy choices.

I've been trying to stay clear of anything prepackaged for two weeks now, and--miracle of miracles!--I don't need coffee in the morning anymore! I have tons more energy, and I don't even miss those easy to fix foods.

This lifestyle really works, and I can't wait to see what other changes come next!

i am a complete and total sugar addict, and I would give anything to be able to cut the habit once and for all. I've tried, but man, is it hard!!! I'm with you on the natural eating... it's a great goal to have.

I want to do this diet too! I did it for a while when I was on my fast...but it was hard and now the last couple of days I have been cookie crazed. I want to try and lose the 10 lbs too. We can do it!

I haven't done a hard core diet either, but I think a way of life with natural and non processed foods is the way to go!
