Ever-Changing Reflection

Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding... It is the bitter potion by which the physician within you heals your sick self. Therefore trust the physician, and drink his remedy in silence and tranquility.

Friend-Making Monday: My spring style

Welcome back to another week of
Friend Makin Monday!

This week's topic is courtesy of my dear friend,
Connie at The Young and the Relentless.

What are your thoughts on this year's Spring Trends?

I'm taking this week's topic in a slightly different direction. Since I'm not really into spring's trends or fashion in general, I'm going to share my spring style wish list.

Apple Green (especially in outerwear):

This Coach trench is too adorable for words. I like how the green brightens up rainy spring days, while providing protection from the weather. The bows on the sleeves are such a cute, unique detail.

Ballet Flats:
Ok, so yes, I noticed shiny things are in for this spring, so why not incorporate them into my latest trend: ballet flats? All of these are metallic and sparkly and perfect for dressing up your weekend jeans. I also like bright colors and fun patterns in ballet flats to brighten an otherwise neutral outfit.

Retro Trenches (a la London Fog):
I realized that my mother has a circa 1984 London Fog trench coat that she NEVER wears anymore. I WANT IT!!! It's the same color as the one above, but hits mid-calf. Oh so perfect for the rain... maybe with a pair of wellies.

Dresses are my new favorite thing for spring and summer (especially if I can layer them with tights for the fall and winter). I want an entire wardrobe of dresses! I'm attracted to the ease of them; one clothing item, cute shoes (see above), a necklace or bracelet or scarf, and I'm done!

Yup, shift dresses are "in" for this spring too, so I'll look for some of those to incorporate into my work wardrobe.

What are you looking at for spring trends?
What are your favorites? Your least favorites?

Um, I think even I could wear those dresses in my current state. Great scores!

I am not a big dress fan too tomboyish here, but I really dig that trench! Coach too! My mom would die! Happy FMM!

I LOVE wearing light springy dresses! It's one of my many obsessions. Flats are super awesome too and I have gone from anti-green to grabbing it up wherever I go! Great picks!
