Ever-Changing Reflection

Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding... It is the bitter potion by which the physician within you heals your sick self. Therefore trust the physician, and drink his remedy in silence and tranquility.

Serenity is the name of the game.

Today is a busy day, my friends, but I still feel a deep inner peace, regardless of whatever chaos may swirl around me. How? Don't ask because I don't know. It feels like my heart is resting in the image above, gazing out on the serene surroundings, listening to the water trickle over rocks, smelling nothing but the freshness of nature, feeling a cool breeze.

I'm grateful:
  • For a minute of deep breathing with my eyes closed.
  • For music that both motivates and calms me.
  • For a brief but lovely phone conversation with my mom, who was thinking of me at the moment I called... because she was cleaning! LOL Apparently I am a clean freak!

What a nice image. The picture reminds me of Thoreau's cabin. So peaceful.
