Ever-Changing Reflection

Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding... It is the bitter potion by which the physician within you heals your sick self. Therefore trust the physician, and drink his remedy in silence and tranquility.

Grateful Day 9: I

Check out Lindsey's original post here

Ok, so you probably think I'm pretty shallow with some of the things I've come up with so far that I am thankful for, but it's hard coming up with something every day that coordinates with the next letter in the alphabet! I don't see any of you trying it!

I have been pondering today's gratitude ALL DAY! "I" is a hard one! To prevent this struggle going forward, every time I think of something I'm thankful for, I'm writing it in my calendar on the day I need to post on that letter. Yes, I'm a bit lame.

Anywho, I was just about to post asking you all what I should do for "I" when it came to me! Flipping through my computer screens trying to get to my tunes for some inspiration, I realized...

I'M THANKFUL FOR ITUNES!!!!

It's perfect! Without this lovely little application on my Mac, I'd be stuck with Winamp, still! Wow, I've come a long way, and so has my music taste. And it is all documented in iTunes. Plus the shopping! Oh the shopping! Without leaving my chair, I can download the next Kenny Chesney album on my wish list, or something new that I have never heard of, or a great song that one of you recommended.

I can sort my music, download cover art, create all kinds of playlists, and now there is Genius! The new iTunes feature that customizes playlists based on your listening trends. It's fantastic!

So, I've reached a new level of shallowness... today I am grateful for my iTunes, and I'm enjoying every minute of it!

well in that case, you could be thankful for an iphone or imac (if you have it).

"I" is hard...and I don't think you are shallow! Being grateful means being grateful for all things...not just deep, spiritual things but for the every day things that make our lives better.

I love itunes too!
